How to set up quick-access Donation buttons on your InKind Page

In addition to gift cards, meal support, well wishes, and gift boxes, Supporters can also send financial donations through your InKind Page.

When you enable the fundraising feature, quick-access donation buttons will display on your page for any or all of the following apps:

Here we'll walk through connecting your Recipient's accounts to the fundraising buttons:

GoFundMe

You can connect your GoFundMe campaign when you create your page, or if you decide to add GoFundMe at a later point, you can add it in the Page Settings of your completed page.

To connect during creation:

  1. Click START A PAGE and go through the steps for creating an InKind Page

  2. When you reach the Fundraising step click YES to enter your GoFundMe campaign link

  3. Paste or type the full address for your GoFundMe campaign in the GoFundMe address field (not the shortened link but the entire URL that begins with "www.gofundme.com/f/" -- for best results, copy the page address directly from the address bar in your browser instead of using any sharing buttons.)

  4. Once you have completed the steps to create your page, you will see a live GoFundMe tracker displayed for supporters to see and click through.

To add GoFundMe campaign to your existing InKind Page:

  1. Click the PAGE SETTINGS button in the header of your InKind Page

2. In the features area, check the box next to Fundraising to enable the

In the GoFundMe address field, type or paste the full address for your GoFundMe campaign (not the shortened link but the entire URL that begins with "www.gofundme.com/f/" -- for best results, copy the page address directly from the address bar in your browser instead of using any sharing buttons.)

4. Click SAVE at the bottom of the window

Your InKind Page will refresh and now display a live GoFundMe campaign tracker for your supporters to see and click through.

As always, Give InKind does not charge any fee for gifting funds through an InKind Page. Any related GoFundMe fees may apply, but we will never charge for sending or receiving support.

PayPal

New Requirements for sending and receiving funds via PayPal:

  1. The person designated to receive funds must have an active PayPal account

  2. That person must enroll in PayPal.me

    (Steps of this process are outlined below.)

  3. Supporters sending funds must have an active PayPal account

How to create a PayPal Account

To send and receive funds with PayPal, both the Supporter and Recipient must have active PayPal accounts. To sign up for an account:

  1. Select "Sign Up" at the top of the page (On mobile it may appear as a "Sign Up For Free" button.)

  2. Proceed through the steps to fill out your name, contact information, and bank account or credit card information to be used for sending and receiving funds

How to enroll in PayPal.me

To receive funds as an individual, PayPal now requires the Recipient to have a PayPal.me name. To get your PayPal.me name:

  1. Once you have successfully created a PayPal.com account, go to www.PayPal.me

  2. Select "My PayPal.me" at the top fo the page, or the "Create your PayPal.me Link" button

  3. Sign in to your PayPal account (The one you created on PayPal.com.)

  4. Proceed through the steps to upload a profile photo of yourself and select a unique PayPal.me name (These will display to your InKind Page supporters, so please choose an image and name that are recognizable or related to the name and images on your InKind Page.)

How to connect a PayPal.me name to your InKind Page

Once you have established your PayPal.me name, visit the Page Settings of your InKind Page. Check the box in the Fundraising area, click the PayPal field, and enter your PayPal.me name. Click "Save" at the bottom of the Page Settings window and your InKind Page will automatically refresh and display your new PayPal Fundraising Button.

As always, Give InKind does not charge any fee for gifting funds through an InKind Page. Any related PayPal fees may apply, but we will never charge for sending or receiving support.

Venmo

You can connect the Recipient's Venmo while you're creating the support page, or at any time in the Page Settings of your completed page.

When selecting the "Venmo" option, a field will appear for you to enter the Recipient's Venmo username.

Always click "Save" before closing the Page Settings window to be sure your desired changes are made.

As always, Give InKind does not charge any fee for gifting funds through an InKind Page. Any related Venmo fees may apply, but we will never charge for sending or receiving support.

CashApp

Connect the Recipient's CashApp cashtag when creating the InKind Page or at any time in the Page Settings. When selecting the "CashApp" option, a field will appear for you to enter the $Cashtag associated with the Recipient's CashApp account.

Always click "Save" before closing the Page Settings window to be sure your desired changes are made.
